Vertex Systems owner Mark McVea initially thought he was above the law in this case, not paying a former employee. The employee filed a complaint with Employment Standards of Alberta so that an order could be produced directing Vertex Systems to pay. This is just one of many examples where Vertex Systems did not pay its employees; not all employees filed complaints. If you are an unpaid employee, you are encouraged to file a complaint as Mark McVea/Vertex Systems is not likely to pay you without a higher order.
